Mary Wanda Jackson, age 88, went home to be with Jesus late on Monday, May 6th, 2024, and was officially pronounced deceased by Compassionate Care Hospice on May 7th. She passed at her home in Kingsburg, surrounded by her three daughters.

Mary was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on May 9th, 1935, to Lewis and Lenis Wright. The family relocated to California in 1940. Mary grew up attending Bell Gardens, Selma and Kingsburg schools. She married the love of her life Loren, on March 21st, 1953, and graduated that year as a Kingsburg High School Viking with daughter #1 on the way. Together they had three daughters, Sandra, Patricia, and Cheryl. Following many years of happily raising children, she worked seasonally packing yams for Rogers Bros Farms, and later "slinging peaches" for Del Monte Cannery, before becoming a Floor Lady.

Mary loved and served God her whole life and was faithful to pray daily for her family and friends. She was well known for writing encouraging greeting cards, complete with specific Bible verses for each person. She was famous for her "plain ole" home cooking and enjoyed watching people devour her meals. She deeply loved her family and enjoyed attending their special activities, vacationing with friends, playing cards (maybe even cheating a little) and watching the Golden State Warriors.

She was preceded in death by her husband Loren Jackson, her parents Lewis and Lenis Wright, her brothers Jim Wright and Charles Wright, her sister Dorothy Clifton and her son-in-law Marty Parks. She is survived by her sisters Betty Asmuth and Becky Moreno, her daughters Sandy Parks, Trish Seapy and her husband Dave and Cheryl Jackson, as well as grandchildren Candyce Montelongo and her husband Tony, Joseph Parks and his wife Linda, Corey Seapy and his wife Chelsea, Briana Seapy and her husband Ben Hernandez and eleven great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.
