Merilyn Bernice Karibian died on Saturday Nov 11, 2023 in Fresno with family by her side. Merilyn was born to Oscar and Annie Garabedian on Oct 2, 1926 in Sanger, CA. She was the youngest of six children, which included Helen, Nadine, Gary, Harry and Lucille. She attended Sanger High School where she played drums, but most importantly met the love of her life, John Karibian. They married on Jan 19, 1946. They began married life on a farm on Fresno, but soon moved to Bakersfield. Their son Michael was born on 1947 and son Vaughn in 1952. Merilyn was a loving mom, daughter, sister, aunt, grandma and great grandma. She loved gardening, cooking, family gatherings, golfing and travel.

Merilyn is pre-deceased by her parents and siblings, husband John, sons Michael and Vaughn. She is survived by grandchildren Abby (Cory) Hamett, James (Jenny) Karibian and Joe Karibian. She is also survived by daughters-in-law Peach Karibian and Sue Karibian, great grandchildren Chloe Hamett, Sophie Hamett, Brooks Karibian, Brynn Karibian, and many nieces and nephews.

Merilyn loved all of her family very much and will be missed by all who loved her.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 21st, at 10:30 a.m. at Masis Ararat Armenian Cemetery, Fresno, CA.
