Michael Shaun Martin, affectionately known by all as "Mike," passed away on May 30, 2026, at the age of 46.

Mike dedicated his life to serving others through his work in the funeral industry as a last responder and biohazardous scene cleanup professional. Throughout his career, he touched countless lives with his compassion, comforting words, and the warm hugs he so freely gave during life's most difficult moments. Whether helping families navigate the immediate aftermath of loss or providing comfort during times of grief, Mike approached every situation with dignity, empathy, and respect. His ability to bring peace and reassurance to others during their darkest hours was a rare gift, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Known for his happy-go-lucky spirit, Mike approached life with an unwavering positive attitude and a smile that could brighten any room. He had a remarkable ability to find the good in every situation and to make those around him feel valued, welcomed, and loved. His laughter was contagious; his heart was generous, and his presence brought comfort to friends, family, coworkers, and strangers alike.

Outside of work, Mike found joy in the simple things that mattered most. He loved spending time with his family and friends, attending concerts, and cheering on the Grizzlies at baseball games. Mike also had a special place in his heart for animals. He was known for rescuing animals in need and often bringing home furry friends who needed a second chance. His compassion extended to all living creatures, reflecting the kindness that defined his life.

Mike leaves behind the love of his life, Jennifer; his cherished daughter Ireland, cherished step-daughter Georgia, beloved sons Michael (Mikey), Sergio, and Gage and beloved step-son Korbin; his beloved mother, Cynthia; and his cherished sister, Bre. He also leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, colleagues, and the countless individuals whose lives he touched through both his profession and his friendship.

Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, Mike's legacy of compassion, kindness, laughter, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering positivity will never be forgotten.

Mike's memory will forever be cherished, and his impact on the lives of others will endure, for generations to come.
