Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, Movses Karkazian, left this world on April 15th, 2024, at 103 years of age.
Movses Karkazian was born to Kevork and Sara Kerkezian on October 28th, 1920, in Mousa Ler. Movses lived an amazing and extraordinary life, working as a builder, a farmer, traveling with Martha, and, most importantly, spending time with his family. Movses was married to Martha Karkazian for 62 wonderful years. They met and married in Lebanon in 1949 and later immigrated to the United States in 1978. If you asked Movses about his life, he would tell you he was the richest man in the world because he was surrounded by his family.
Movses is survived by his son, George Karkazian, and wife Susie, and their two daughters, Nyrie and Talene; his daughter Salpy Adams and husband Steve, and their son and daughter-in-law Ari and Ruzan, and great-grandson, Zakar; his son Johno Karkazian and wife Zepur, and their three daughters, Tamar, Aleek, and Patil; and his son Ara Karkazian and wife Lena, and their sons, Moses and Armand.
The funeral services will be held on Monday, April 22nd, 2024, at 10 am at First Armenian Presbyterian Church of Fresno. Remembrances in his name can be made to Mousa Ler Fresno, half of which will be donated to the Mousa Ler Monument at Masis Cemetery in Fresno and the other half to The Armenian Evangelical High School in Anjar.
