Nancy Gonzales, age 75, passed away on Friday, March 1st 2024 after battling lung cancer.

She was born on August 19th, 1948 in Reedley to Robert and Alexis Jacobsen. Nancy was raised in Selma with her younger brother Rick. In 1981, she met the love of her life, Carl Gonzales and they married shortly after in 1982. They had twin daughters, Stephanie and Tiffany who were also mostly raised in Selma.

Nancy was an involved member of her community. Many came to know Nancy because of her involvement with her children's school events and sports activities. She later became an employee of the Selma School District as a library technician and also assisting in the office at Heartland Alternative School. She worked there for several years but decided to retire in 2014 after becoming a grandmother. Nancy dedicated her life to her family and wanted to help in taking care of her grandchildren who she loved so much.

She is survived by her husband Carl Gonzales, her daughter and son in law Stephanie and Gabriel Orozco; their 4 children Giselle, McKenzie, Luca, and Mateo Orozco, daughter Tiffany Gonzales and fiancé Jesse Moya; her 2 sons Austin and Donovan ReMine; and her brother and sister in law Rick and Linda Jacobsen. Nancy will forever be remembered for her kind heart, her beauty inside and out, and the love she had for her family. Her passing has left a huge whole in the hearts of so many, especially her family. But her memory and spirit will continue on forever.
