Ona Delores Bugg, "Wassie," was born on May 10, 1932, in Delano, CA. She was the middle child of seven born to Roy and Jessie Colwell. Among her siblings, Wassie is survived by her youngest sister, Linda Bohannon, and her husband David, of Sanger, CA.

At seventeen Wassie married Clyde Richard Bugg (deceased), and they began an adventure in military service. She followed Richard to each duty station while raising their three children, Katherine Moreno (deceased), Richard Marc Bugg of Gardnerville NV, and Michelle Danette Owens of Fresno CA. They eventually retired in Fresno and together were active in their church and many organizations. Wassie was most passionate about her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great greats, never missing a game or school event.

In her final years, progressing dementia distanced Wassie from the family, friends, and activities she loved. Yet despite the disease, Wassie cared for others and was loved by her caregivers. Wassie passed  into her eternal life with Jesus when her healing came on March 28th, 2025.

A private graveside service will be held by the family at a later date.
