Patricia Diane Trafican, beloved wife, mother, YiaYia, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, May 9, 2025, in Fresno, California, at the age of 74.
Born and raised in Fresno, Patricia was a proud graduate of Fresno High School, Class of 1968. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Fresno. In 1974, she began what would become a remarkable 36-year teaching career at Hoover High School. Passionate about education, Patricia was not only a dedicated teacher but also a vibrant part of the school community. She coached the cheer team, performed spirited dances at pep rallies, and was a guiding light for countless students, offering mentorship and support that often extended far beyond graduation.
Patricia had a boundless generosity of spirit. Whether organizing a family celebration, helping plan LARCS events, or working at the Holiday Boutique, she found joy in giving to others. Her warmth, energy, and selflessness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Patricia shared 53 beautiful years of marriage with her high school sweetheart, Jeff Trafican. Together, they built a loving family and life centered around their children and grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and joy.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Trafican; her son, Anthony Trafican (Danielle); her daughter, Jamie Wilson (Ross); her grandchildren, Violet and Dominic Trafican and Theodore Wilson; her sister, Alexis Savaros (Bill Kaiser); her sister-in-law, Darlene Laval; and many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Diamond Savaros.
A private family service will be held for Patricia at St. George's Greek Orthodox Church. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon in celebration of Patricia's life at Pardini's on Monday, May 19th at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation in Patricia's memory to St. George's Greek Orthodox Church, Fresno Humane Animal Services or a charity of your choice that is close to your heart.
