Paulette Sevier Patterson, 66, of Fresno, California, passed away on January 3, 2026, after a brief illness. Paulette was born on March 10, 1959, in Los Angeles, California, to parents William Sevier and Laura Harrison. She lived in Southern California as a child before moving to Fresno, where she graduated from Washington Union High School in Easton. She relocated to Delaware as a young adult and returned to Fresno in 1991, where she lived the rest of her life.

She was employed for over twenty years with Pacific, Gas, and Electric, and she was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). She was enjoying retired life, and loved keeping close relationships with family and friends, helping her daughters develop into strong and independent women, listening to music, and watching her favorite television programs and movies. She was also previously very active as a member and volunteer at Second Baptist Church in Fresno, where she served as chair of the usher board for several years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters Odell Sevier, Sadie Mae Peakes, and Irene Sevier Lee. She is survived by her daughters Paulette Patterson (Michael) of Los Angeles and Brittney Patterson of Fresno; sisters Lucy Sevier Whittle (Melvin), Vivian Rose Sevier (Darren), and Sharon Ann Billings; in addition to many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation and homegoing service to celebrate her arrival into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be held at Farewell Funeral Service - Palm Bluffs (660 W. Locust Ave., Fresno, California 93650) on Tuesday, January 13. The open visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., and the homegoing service will begin at 6:00 p.m.
