On October 31st, 2024 at 3:14pm, Phyllis Orozco, age 88 was called home to the heavenly gates in the sky.

Phyllis was born to the late Wilbert and Ethel Gougis on February 9th, 1936 in New Orleans, LA.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Gilbert Orozco (03-21-2017), her son Brian Orozco (11-12-1977), two sisters; Shirley Viltz (08-03-2003), and Ruby Mathieu (03-03-2023), and one brother Wilbert (Butch) Gougis.

Phyllis is survived and will be very missed by her daughter Dina Orozco, Lisa Gamez, two sons Richard and Raymond Orozco (wife Jaxie), her sister Dianne Cardriche, two cousins whom Phyllis loved so much Rosemarie and Ann from New Orleans, LA and her best friend Carol Foster, whom she was friends with for over 65 years.

Phyllis is survived by her grandchildren; Damond, Michelle, Melissa, Melinda (Julian), Breanna (Rudy), Marcus (Sandra), Mikieo (Jazlyn), Andreanna (Jesse), Jessica, and Alicia. Her great grandchildren; Darian (Chris), Vincent, Myah, Lexie, Julianna, Ariyanna, Jose, Auvianna, Baby Mikieo, Avayah, Isaac, Isaiah, Illeanna, Ireanna, Madden, Hunter, Johnny, and Jessianna.

Phyllis is also survived by her great-great grandchildren, Lil Ricky, Aubrianna, Audrianna, Allyana, and Uriah.
