Randal Brent
Eknoian
Apr 13, 1953 — Aug 22, 2024
Selma
The family of Randal (Randy) Eknoian is saddened to announce his passing on August 22, 2024 at the age of 71. Randy passed away peacefully with the love of his family surrounding him. He was predeceased by his parents Sammy and Margaret Eknoian.
Randy will be lovingly remembered by his son, Sam (Sammy) and grandsons, Maddox and Asher; Jesse (Connie) Lujan and Anna Lujan; brother, Ronnie (Sherrie) and sister Shari (David) Casparian; Uncle Johnny and Aunt Gloria Eknoian; niece Chelsea (Hank) Perez; nephews, Jacob (Meagan) Eknoian, and Spencer Eknoian; and all of his loving cousins.
Born on April 13, 1953, in Selma, CA, where he called home for 70+ years of his life. To say Randy was a sports fanatic would be an understatement. He was passionate about sports on and off the field and would regularly reminisce about his playing days and the many trips to San Francisco to watch the Giants and 49ers. Tailgating at the Stick, enjoying a crab sandwich at Oracle Park, Pomona drag races, and swimming with his grandsons were just a few of his favorite things.
Randy proudly held the honor of captain of the Selma High Varsity football team in his Senior year and earned Ram of the year honors at Fresno City College in their State Championship year (1973).
Our family wishes to express sincere gratitude to all for the prayers, love, text messages, and all other expressions of concern that you have shown during this time of bereavement. We are most thankful to have Lance Granum, Veritas Advocacy, by our side. We are grateful for Father Gomidas', St. Gregory Armenian Church, spiritual guidance, the dedicated doctors and staff at CRMC, the wonderful staff at Dedicated Care, and Laura Morales for their patience and grace.
Randy's family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life held at 4:00pm on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 11089 S. Mendocino Ave, in Selma.
