Selma
Rebecca Ruth Moreno was born on March 23, 1937, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Charles and Mary Wright. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 25, 2025, in Fowler, CA.
Becky is survived by her sister, Betty Asmuth, daughter, Pennie Kalinowski, son, Edwin Glover, 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She loved her children, grandchildren, and especially loved her great grandchildren.
One of her favorite things to do was to cook for family get togethers, whether it was for a holiday or just visiting on a weekend. She would cook a full breakfast with bacon, eggs, hash browns, biscuits and gravy. Becky also loved to cook chicken and dumplings using Mamaw's family recipe. She would let all of us know if any of us made them, and we didn't cook them the right way. lol
Her favorite activity was bowling. She was a member of several different bowling leagues. Becky's Boozers was the name of the four person team she was captain of at Selma Lanes.
She went back to college after raising her children and earned her associates degree in accounting at College of the Canyons, Santa Clarita, CA. Becky made her living as a bookkeeper throughout her life, many of those years as an accountant for Church on the Rock in Santa Clarita, CA, and in Texas.
Becky attended many churches throughout her life. In 2018, she was welcomed into membership at the First Christian Church in Selma, CA. She loved everyone at the church, and everyone loved her.
She was a strong woman and a fighter her entire life. Becky was a breast cancer survivor and went on numerous survivor walks.
Remember her beautiful smile and her sense of humor. Giggles was her nickname, and she was always laughing. Those who knew her will remember her "tee hees."
Remembrances may be sent in her name to the charity of your choice.
