RICHARD (Robbie) ROBINSON, a cherished individual known for his service in the Fresno Fire Department as a 2nd Battalion Fire Chief and also his service in the Coast Guard Reserves as a Chief Warrant Officer. Richard left us on February 22nd, 2025. Born on July 30th, 1939 in Biddeford, Maine, he lived a life devoted to service towards others.

Richard grew up in Kennebunkport Maine until the age of 14 when the family moved to Fresno California. He attended Fresno High and Fresno State. He joined the Coast Guard Reserves in 1960. Richard served over 30 years in the Coast Guard Reserves and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer. In 1967 he took the fire exam for the Fresno Fire Department and became one of Fresno's finest. He finished in the top ten in his class and he was Rookie of the year his first year on the department. Later he attended Fresno City College where he earned his AA in Fire Science. He served as a training officer, fire prevention, arson investigator and communications officer. Perhaps his greatest achievement, other than saving lives as a first responder, was creating the 911 call system in the County of Fresno.

Richard married Marie DeFeudis Parker in November 1969 and enjoyed over 55 years of marriage. They spent the majority of their retirement enjoying the game they both loved, golf, at Kings River Country Club. He is survived by his wife Marie Robinson, step son Troy Parker, step daughter Lisa Parker Murray, his daughter Gail Robinson and predeceased by his son Rick Robinson. He is survived by his brother Tim Robinson, Sister Margo Reese and predeceased by his sister Martha. Richard had seven grandchildren, Jason Henebury, Nicholas

Henebury (deceased), Matthew Henebury, Kyle Parker, Danielle Parker, Cameron Parker and Haley Parker. He had two great grandchildren Benjamin and Viera.

Richard will be remembered for his humorous personality, his passion for golf, his dedication to his city and country and his love for his wife and family.
