Allen, Robert Lee

April 15, 1945- September 5, 2023

The family of Robert (Bob) Lee Allen of Selma, California, is saddened to announce his passing
on September 5, 2023, at the age of 78 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary, of 59 years. His children Kathy Allen Smiley
(Jeff Smiley) and Tim Allen; grandchildren: Quinnton Smiley, Durand Smiley (Caitlyn Smiley),
and Zachary Allen; brother, Lloyd (Carolyn) Allen, Jim Allen (Cindy deceased); sister, Shirley
Gagliardini and her husband both preceded him in death.

Bob was born in Selma, California, and considered this his home. He was involved with many
organizations, including the Selma City Council, Selma Rotary Club, Selma Cares, Bethel
Lutheran Home Board, Kiwanis, Lions Club, Bringing Broken Neighborhoods Back to Life, Selma
Cemetery District, California Public Cemetery Association, Selma Cancer Support, Selma
Chamber of Commerce, and the Pioneer Village Commission.

There will be a celebration of life service on September 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at The First
Baptist Church, Selma, California.
