Robert Alloys
Gretsch
Jan 6, 1957 — Jul 14, 2025
Fresno
Robert Alloys Gretsch was born on January 6th 1957 in Saint Cloud, MN. Born to Donald and Elizabeth Gresch. He was the oldest of eight children. His family moved out to Raymond, Ca and then to Fresno,Ca. Bob attended San Jaquin memorial high school. This is the time in his life where his passion for skiing began. He was an outdoors man and was very avid. Throughout his time studying at Fresno State he went on many hunting, hiking and fishing excursions. This led to his career pathways of Fish and Game Ski patrol, and Firefighting. Wherever there was an opportunity for adventure he was there.
Bob was a dedicated family man. He was unendingly proud of his child. Robert "Jr." and grandchildren Reece and Lauren.
In 1995 he met Nadine. She had no clue what the fantastic future was going to look like being Mrs. Gretsch. Bob and Nadine built a life together. They just recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.
Bob will be remembered for his fearless, vibrant, thriving sense of adventure and living life to the fullest up to his last days on this earth. Bob may be gone from the physical world but he will forever be living through what he has left behind in his family. They will continue to find great bargains high mountains and the biggest fish.
I hope Bob is up there in heaven saying "Fish on get the net" and skiing down that Mountain right by our sides. His passing leaves us with a heartache no one can heal, but his love has left us with a heart full of memories no one can steal.
May you rest high on that Mountain. Your time on earth is done great servant.
He is survived by his wife Nadine, Son Robert and daughter in law Brittany along with his grandchildren Reece and Lauren.
A Celebration of life was held at Bethany Church in Fresno on Sunday, July 27th at 4:00 pm
