Rodolfo "Tex" R. Tabares, 82, entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Fresno Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, CA.

Mr. Tabares was born in Los Fresnos, TX on October 9, 1941.  He moved to Firebaugh, CA in 1971.

Mr. Tabares worked for a shrimp company during his teenage and young adult years.  After moving to California, Mr. Tabares worked for Griffin Ranch between 1971 to 1975; Telles Ranch between 1975 to 1986.  In 1986, he started his trucking business, Tabares and Son Trucking, and retired in 2003.

Mr. Tabares loved dancing to Tejano music, he enjoyed welding, and had a passion for working on his semi truck.  He also, liked spending time at the local burger joint, where he hung out with the boys.

Mr. Tabares is preceded in death by his parents, Raul Tabares and Raquel R. Tabares; grandparents, Socorro Rodriguez and Virginia Villagomez; two brothers, Reynel Tabares and Raul Tabares Jr., and one sister Rose Tabares Almazan.

Mr. Tabares is survived and very much loved by his family, wife Consuelo Tabares, his daughter Raquel Elena Tabares, his son Rodolfo Ricardo Tabares and wife Heather, granddaughter Alicia, and grandson Rodolfo Ricardo Jr. and wife Jaqueline, and great grandsons Damien and Derrick all of Firebaugh; son Rodolfo Tabares Jr. and wife Geniva of San Antonio, TX; his brothers Reynaldo Tabares and Ricardo Tabares of Brownsville, TX and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
