Rose "Rosie" Sanchez Guerriero
2/22/45- 4/23/24

Rose was born on February 22, 1945 in Fresno, California to Frank Sanchez and Carmen Flores Sanchez. Rosie went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2024 after a short battle with leukemia. In the days preceding her death, she was surrounded by her loving family and her beloved friends.

Rosie was one of five children and enjoyed in close-knit relationships with her parents and siblings. Holiday gatherings, birthdays and celebrations were a big part of their close family. Spending time together was her favorite way to share the family traditions that were so important to her.

Rosie graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1963, and married Augie Guerriero in 1968. Augie and Rosie were blessed with a son, Anthony, in1980. Rosie and Augie celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last November. For over 50 years, Rosie assisted her husband in the running of their business, Sunnyside Roofing, by doing the bookkeeping and payroll. She was always the quiet strength that kept them going until they retired a few years ago.

On both sides of her family, she was everybody's favorite "Aunt Roe" to her numerous nephews and nieces. Aunt Roe always had a pleasant disposition, a warm hug, an infectious smile, and was loved deeply by her entire family. No matter what conflict may have come her way, she had a peaceful way about her, and a loving and forgiving soul.

Her greatest joy in life was being Anthony's mother and a grandmother to his son, Vincent. They were the true joy in her life and she was a wonderful and devoted mother and grandmother. She always sparkled a little brighter when she spoke of her son and grandson.

In her last years Rosie loved spending time surrounded by her family.  She had very special times with her sisters and nieces, often enjoying dinners and concerts with them. She also enjoyed spending time with her treasured friends, and posted photos of all these happy times on her social media so she could share the joyful times of her life.

Rosie was predeceased in death by her beloved parents Carmen and Frank, and her sister Ruth.

She is survived by her husband, Augie; son, Anthony; grandson, Vincent; brother Frank (Junior); sister Alice Moreno; sister Helen Baca and her husband Jerry; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who adored her.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and a Celebration of her beautiful life will follow.
