Rosie Candelaria, beloved wife to Tom Candelaria for 57 years, mother of Charles and Jerry, grandmother of Jeremy, Caleb and Joel, passed away on February 27, 2024.

She was born on July 17, 1936, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She has been a resident of Fresno and Clovis since 1967.

Rosie and her husband Tom met in San Bernardino, California in 1966, fell in love and were married in 1967. Their first son was born later that year.

She was one of 13 children in her family, the daughter of Vivian and Louisa Baca, who were born and raised in New Mexico. Their family later moved to southern California. She is survived by her brothers Rey and Raymond, her husband Tom, her son Charles, her stepsons Tom and Robert, her grandchildren Jeremy and Joel, and step-grandchildren Tommy, Mika and Julia.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother…all who have known her witnessed her loving spirit, her kindness, her laughter, and her music. She was an amazing woman, and touched the lives of friends and families alike with her generosity and joy.

Rosie will always be in our hearts, and will be missed dearly.
