Sally was born in Belzoni, Mississippi on March 26, 1935. Her family established roots in Fresno when Sally was age 10. After admirably fighting a 3-year battle with cancer, Sally took her last breath in the presence of her loving family on June 12, 2023 at the age of 88 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Ollie Carson and Nina White Carson Woo, stepfather Chew "Johnny" Woo and daughter Linda Kay Daniels Brandon. She is survived by her daughters Julie Elaine Daniels Cash, Michelle Marie Lumsden Carroll and husband Bob Carroll, and son-in-law Scott Brandon husband of Linda. Sally had 8 grandchildren: Dawnyel, Dalayne, Dashelle, James, Chris, Latisha, Riley and Josh. She also had 11 great-grandchildren: Angelie, Chad, Brock, Bryant, Baley, Dylan, Dakota, Trayce, Braydon, Chris, Jr., and Tyler.

Sally had a career as a Registered Nurse for 23 years. She worked at Valley Medical Center, Fresno Community Hospital, and Sierra Community Hospital. She served her patients and their families with compassion. After retirement, she continued serving her community by helping her neighbors, taking them to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and running errands.

Sally was a loving person who demonstrated strength in adversity raising her daughters in a home she purchased as a single mom. (Back story: When the bank loan officer told her he would not give her a loan since she was a divorced woman, she gave him her attorney's business card and asked him to give her attorney a call to explain that reason to him. He then granted her the loan without making that call. "You go, Mom!"). She also had a quick-witted sense of humor and known for her great one-liners. Sally also had a passion for dancing including West Coast Swing, Jitterbug, Ballroom, and Line Dancing.

She was a member of Peoples Church and active in the Ladies' Boutique preparing various crafts to sell at the annual Christmas Boutique. Sally's amazing talent was embroidering. She created colorful animals, holiday themed items, and had a special way of adding facial expressions and details to every character she sewed.

There was a special era during which she and her daughters Linda, Julie and Michelle attended annual Red Hat Society conferences in Sacramento, CA. They shared many laughs together dressing in costumes daily according to each year's theme and participating in fun activities. It was a special time of connection.
