Tessie Mae Marcelli, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great,
great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 12th.

Tessie was born on February 27, 1927 in Fresno, California, the 6th child of Mauro and
Philomena Teore. Her given name was Teresa, but went by her childhood nickname of Tessie
all of her life. She attended West Park Elementary School and Washington Union High School.
Tessie helped her dad on their small farm, in the fields and with the animals. She often said she
was the tomboy and her sisters did the housework. She also worked in a packing house until
she married.

On February 20, 1949, Tessie married Angelo Marcelli who was the oldest son of family
friends. They had a daughter, Angela, in April, 1950, followed 19 months later by their son,
Donnie, in November, 1951.

Tessie and Angelo were very active "empty nesters", belonging to numerous Italian
Catholic clubs, attending several functions at the Edison Social Club, the Moose and the Elks.
She was a wonderful cook, baker, housekeeper, mother, as well as a faithful and loving wife to
Angelo until his death in November, 2009.

Tessie is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Angelo; her precious
granddaughter, Lisa; her daughter-in-law, Susan; her sisters and their spouses, Angie (Gildo)
Leonetti, Margaret (Monroe) Scelzi, Antoinette (Art) Noia, and Eleanor (Bill) Foster; her brother,
Jimmy (Frances), and Vincent Teore; as well as her brothers-in-law, Tony, Johnnie, Joseph
(Betty), Dominic "Don", and Albert (Dorothy) Marcelli.

Tessie is survived by her daughter, Angela (Robert) Horn and their children, Jeffrey Horn
(Stacey) and Kimberly Melkonian (Ryan); son, Donnie Marcelli and his daughter, Janette
Marcelli; 8 great grandchildren—MyKenzie and Jake Horn, Hunter, Kaydie and Brooke
Melkonian, Breanna and Donovan Buchanan, and Kayla Thomas; 4 great, great
grandchildren—Kingston, Casey and Bentley Warren and Maizey Sheets; numerous nephews
and nieces; and her sisters-in-law, LaVera and Laura Marcelli.
