Victoria "Vickie" Delgado Patlan, beloved wife, mother and Mima left our sides but not our hearts on June 18th, 2023 at the age of 69 years.  Vickie was born on August 23, 1953 and was raised by Victoria and Manuel Delgado in Firebaugh, California.  She is survived by her husband George, oldest daughter Angela, daughter Georgette & husband Erik Salas, grandson Tristan Diedrich & wife Savanna, granddaughter Teddi Markle & husband Jerrod, and grandchildren Christian and Emanuel Salas.

Vickie dedicated 42 years of her life to the families and children of Firebaugh, serving as the principal's secretary/Attendance secretary for Firebaugh Middle School.  Lovingly known as 'Miss Vickie' to the many students in the school, she never hesitated to serve as an unofficial guidance counselor, always wanting the students to give their very best.  She assisted the staff and ensured the teachers always had what they needed to perform their job duties but she also helped families in the community understand paperwork required by the school district.  She never hesitated to help, as it was her true calling.

A lifelong San Francisco Giants fan, Vickie never passed up the opportunity to take a family road trip to the Bay Area to cheer on her team. The memories made and photos taken at the ball park were priceless, and she appreciated every minute of it. From the Giants photo frames adorning the walls of her home, the orange and black outfits, or her Dooney and Bourke purse with the "SF" logos, she was always proud to root for her team.

Most importantly, Vickie was an incredible mother, Mima, wife and friend.  She lit up every room she walked into with her shining smile and infectious laugh.  Her sense of humor was unmatched. She had the unique ability to both shock and cause unrestrained laughter with her smart, and occassionally inappropriate, jokes.

Her happiest times were when she was in her kitchen, cooking delicious food for her family.
Regardless of the day of the week or time of day, Vickie prepared every meal like a holiday feast. Because to her, sharing the dinner table with her favorite people was always a reason to celebrate.

She provided constant love and support to her family and loved ones. The respect, appreciation, and admiration bestowed upon Vickie from everyone who knew her was earned over the course of a lifetime. Despite her modest nature and reluctance to be praised, she was just as open to receive affection and appreciation from her family as she was to give it.

Vickie lived to make happy those who were closest to her. The love she exuded was undeniable, unconditional, and no matter the circumstance, her love never felt undeserved.

Every wonderful quality that she displayed throughout her beautiful life has been passed on to those who will never stop talking about her.

Vickie will be deeply missed.
