In Loving Memory of Vonda Lee Garcia

Vonda Lee Garcia, beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt,
niece, friend, passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2023, in Fresno at the age of 83. The love of
her life, Armando, was at her side, holding her hand and her sons and grandchildren were
gathered around her when she took her last breath.
Vonda was born on January 20, 1940, in Dinuba, California and spent her life in Fresno,
California.
In 1984, she met and married a year later her beloved husband Armando Garcia, and she gained
additional brothers and sisters as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased in death by her parents, her brother, Butch, her sister, Cathy, and her son,
Michael.
Vonda is survived by her loving husband Armando; her sons Kenneth Burkett and Jeffrey
(Teresa) Burkett; 6 grandchildren: James (Krystal), Kacie (Ramon), Reba, Tanya, Cassidy, and
Kenneth; 7 great grandchildren: McKenzie, Angel, Ava, Bellamy, Faith, Arielle and Milo; 3
sisters: Patricia (Ken), Diane and Peggy; as well as many sisters in law, brothers in law, and
nieces and nephews.
Anyone who knew Vonda knew of her kind and loving heart. She happily shared this with her
family, friends, and her neighbors. Vonda never knew a stranger. She found a way to connect
with anyone she met. Her family is so proud of her unwavering perseverance and strength,
grateful for the many years of love, and the ever-present ray of sunshine that was her.
Vonda will be missed beyond words.
