Wilbur Lee Longwisch, age 70, of Clovis, CA passed to his eternal home in the arms of Jesus, his loving Savior on March 26, 2026 in Fresno, CA, surrounded by family and loved ones. Wilbur was born on January 18, 1956 in San Bernardino, CA to Joan McCauley and William Longwisch. 

Wilbur is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Marcia Longwisch, and his children Wilbur Longwisch, Jr., Nathan Longwisch (Jessica), Heather Greenberg, Lydia Barker (Charles), Timothy England (Anjie), and Mark England (Janay). He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren: Preston, Ethan, Levi, Aidan, Naomi, Aaron, Hannah, Everly, Londyn, and Kinsley. He is also survived by his mother Joan McCauley and his brother Stan McCauley. Wilbur was preceded in death by his stepfather Howard "Bruce" McCauley, his brother Keith Michael Longwisch, his father William Longwisch, his stepmother Stephanie Longwisch, and his sister Carrie Longwisch. 

Growing up, Wilbur's family had Bible studies in their home through Hebrew Christian Witness, and he became a converted Jew. He made the important, life-changing decision to accept Jesus' sacrifice and God's gift of eternal life. He committed his life to Jesus Christ and was baptized on November 15, 1970. Wilbur graduated from Fontana High School in 1974, participating in campus Bible study, madrigals, a cappella choirs, wrestling and football. He graduated from Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music and was ordained to the gospel ministry in 1982. 

Wilbur traveled the country singing in an evangelistic gospel group, "The Ambassadors." He served as a music and youth pastor in Colorado and New Mexico. Wilbur led a close-knit Bible study in his home for 8 years. He taught Bible classes for children, teens, and adults. Wilbur had much delight in singing on church worship teams and directing adult and children's choirs. In summers, he directed Christian camp musical theatrical productions and even drove the camp bus. In addition to his vocal ability, he played saxophone and was a proficient, joyful whistler. 

Wilbur started working in the construction industry at only 12 years old and went on to become a tile setter. After acquiring his general contractor's license and founding his business, "Majestic Builders," he worked faithfully in the construction industry for over 36 years, serving many families and businesses, specializing in churches and historic buildings, with his very specific eye for detail. 

Wilbur's passions were faith, family, and friends. His joy was his children and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed helping widows, the elderly, and the disabled. As an avid gardener, he built a beautiful waterfall and lush pond filled with turtles and colorful Koi for his wife and him to enjoy. He bred, trained, and loved Great Danes. Wilbur was a master of barbecue; he enjoyed entertaining for family and friends. Wilbur's big smile, sense of humor, and storytelling brought encouragement to many.
