Obituary

William "Bill" Bettencourt
9/12/1938 - 7/29/2024
Bill Bettencourt passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024, at the age of 85.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Addie Vierra, Mamie Katen, Elzira Robertson, Teresa Bettencourt and brothers Manuel and Frank Bettencourt.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lou, his son Gary and daughter-in-law Tammy, his son Michael, granddaughter Tiffany James and her husband Kevin, great grandchildren Jack and Adaline, his sister Marge Henderson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bill was born September 12, 1938 in Los Banos, California to parents Frank and Genevieve. After high school he worked as a Dairyman in Los Banos and Fresno. He then changed careers to pest control and after working 15 years in the industry, he started his own company Bettencourt Pest Control in 1983 alongside his wife and son Gary. Over the last 41 years it has become one of the most successful family-owned pest control companies in the Central Valley.

Bill loved classic cars, music, golf, country life, animals (especially his many dogs throughout the years) and most of all his family. In his later years, he enjoyed taking drives with his wife, family dinners on Sundays, and watching his great grandchildren grow. We will miss his sense of humor, wisdom, constant love and support. The stories he shared and our memories of him will live on in our hearts forever.

Per Bill's wishes, no services will be held.

All of Bill's dogs were adopted from shelters. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
