William Loren Jackson, age 92, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, January 8th, 2023. He passed peacefully at his home in Kingsburg, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.
Loren was born in Selma, California on November 14th, 1930, to LeRoy and Winifred Jackson. He attended Selma schools, graduating from Selma High School in 1948. Loren joined the US Navy in 1951 and was stationed in San Diego and Treasure Island before sailing to Hong Kong, Japan, and the Philippines aboard the USS Chara. He married his wife, Mary, on March 21st, 1953, and together they had three daughters, Sandra, Patricia, and Cheryl. Following his military service, Loren spent 25 years as a grocer and worked variously as a butcher, construction worker, and tax examiner before his retirement in 1992.
Loren loved God and was faithful in his daily devotions each morning and praying over every family member nightly. He deeply loved his family, and enjoyed gardening, vacationing, watching his San Francisco Giants and 49ers, gospel music, fishing, hunting, jumble books, and McDonald's mocha frappes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Berniece Mellenberger and his son-in-law Marty Parks. He is survived by his wife Mary and their daughters Sandra Parks, and Patricia Seapy, and her husband Dave and Cheryl Jackson as well as grandchildren Candyce Montelongo and her husband Tony, Joseph Parks and his wife Linda, Corey Seapy and his wife Chelsea, Briana Seapy and her husband Ben Hernandez and ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
