WILMA LAVERN CASTIGLIONE
June 28, 1933 - September 16, 2023

Wilma LaVern Castiglione passed away peacefully at home in Fresno, California on September 16, 2023 to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 90.

She was born June 28, 1933 in Fresno, California to Fred & Olga Hurst. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers.

She attended Edison High School where she met the love of  her life, Joe Castiglione, who played on the football team when she was the Head Majorette. After graduating from Edison High, she worked in the school office as a secretary.

She was a homemaker for 69 years and a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. Some of her greatest achievements were starting a church in her home and leading a bible study group. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling with her Winnebago group, ocean/lake fishing, and camping. She was well-known for her Christmas parties and her delicious homemade cookies each year.

Wilma is survived by her husband Joe Castiglione; daughter  Susan and husband Larry Cooper; daughter Sandra and  husband Jim McNitt; 4 grandchildren Ryan Cooper, Reanna  and husband Tommy Medina; Marissa McNitt and Lawson McNitt; and 1 great-granddaughter Kaylee Cooper.

The Castiglione family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to all the doctors, caregivers, family, and friends who helped encourage and care for Wilma during  her illness.
