Cynthia Gay
Thomas
Feb 21, 1952 — Mar 30, 2023
Fresno
Cynthia Gay Coyle Thomas has managed to slip away from us. She lived a full life and had many adventures. She was born and raised in Fresno, CA. She lost her battle with Pancreatic cancer. She fought hard but sadly lost the fight. She slipped away to join her parents on March 30, 2023 with her family at her bedside. Cyndi is survived by her two sons Ryan Thomas and Erin Thomas, four Grandchildren and two Great Grandchildren. She also left behind her brother Tony Coyle, and two sisters Pamela Thomas and Julie Faurie. She was an aunt to four and a Great aunt to eight .
Cyndi graduated from Fresno High School and went on to work for the County of Fresno in the Child Support Division. Her personal life experiences helped her in her job since she raised her sons as a divorced single mom. She had her struggles but had a good support system from her parents and family.
Cyndi loved adventure and spending time with her family outdoors. She loved camping trips , which has been an ongoing tradition with her family. She would take them to the mountains and the beach. She had a camping trailer to make things a little easier to cook and house her family. Great times and great memories to live on forever. She liked to rock climb in Yosemite and once slept for a night, tethered on a ledge of El Capitan. She also once celebrated her bi rthday by skydiving. She back packed around Europe and attended a United Nations conference for indigenous tribes of the world. She was very proud to have listened to speeches and met representatives of these tribes. She was a strong financial supporter of many organizations to help others less fortunate.
Cyndi was a great cook and was always willing to cook many memorable meals. Her tacos and chalupa were always the best.
Cyndi will be missed as a Mother, Grand Mother, Great Grand Mother. Sister, Aunt, Great Aunt, God Mother, and a wonderful friend.
Rest well , Cyndi. You are loved and missed beyond belief.
